Weis Markets, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Pharmacy Service Representative to ensure prompt service in the Pharmacy Department.

You will perform computer entry of prescription information, including patient search, prescriber search, drug selection, prescription interpretation & entry, and insurance billing. You will also process new and refill prescriptions, retrieve medications from inventory, create prescription labels, and maintain the pharmacy area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 600 hours in retail/pharmacy operations.
• Strong customer service and attention to detail.
• Ability to navigate pharmacy software and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions of a Pharmacy Service Representative to ensure prompt service in the Pharmacy Department.
• Enter prescription information including patient, prescriber, drug selection, and insurance billing.
• Process new and refill prescriptions, including doctor authorization where permitted by state law.
• Retrieve medications from inventory and label/place into containers where allowed by state law.
• Maintain clean and orderly Pharmacy department and assist with inventory management.
• Reconstitute oral liquids where permitted by state law.
