Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Temporary or permanent Michigan Pharmacy Technician license required on hire; licensure within one year.
• PTCB certification required to transition from temporary to permanent licensure.
• 3–6 months experience in hospital, retail, or related setting preferred.
• Math and data interpretation skills; effective communication with pharmacists and staff.
• Ability to prioritize, stay motivated, and follow safety and procedural guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods; valid driver's license may be needed.
• Students in accredited programs may intern without full certification.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions and assist pharmacists with dispensing tasks.
• Inventory management and stocking in outpatient or hospital settings.
• Operate POS and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Support delivery of supplies and medications to nursing units when needed.
• Assist with standard compounding and packaging duties per policy.
