Position Summary

Provides expert pharmacy content and professional leadership on complex sales assignments/projects. Works with internal sales and client managers to develop and execute strategies to sell integrated programs in the 0500 Segment. Develops and implements sales strategies to achieve objectives, using creativity, foresight, and judgment. Acts as a subject matter expert, advising leaders on pharmacy's value to the integrated model and supporting broader business projects.

This role is eligible for sales incentive compensation (IC).

Job Responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed sales goals by working with Cigna Healthcare Sales channel partners
  • Communicate effectively the use of Cigna's value proposition in sales
  • Provide consultative expertise when promoting Cigna pharmacy
  • Achieve sales meeting requirements demonstrating strong process execution
  • Understand prospect needs, goals, and decision-making processes
  • Manage all sales activities in SharePoint
  • Create and present territory-specific strategies
  • Lead pharmacy-related sales meetings
  • Manage RFP analysis and best practices
  • Represent Cigna Pharmacy Management at market and finalist meetings
  • Stay current on PBM industry trends and competitors
  • Maintain positive internal relationships
  • Identify and pursue vetted medical-only clients for integrated programs
  • Partner with brokers, TPA, employers, and government entities on plan benefits
  • Hold monthly strategic meetings with client managers
  • Coordinate with the implementation team for smooth transitions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years in PBM sector, including product and pricing
  • Sales or client management experience
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills

Note: For remote work, internet must be via cable broadband or fiber with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

This role may be eligible for an incentive compensation plan.
