Job summary

Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, NE, is seeking a Pharmacy Business Operations Supervisor to oversee revenue cycle operations and lead the PHARMACY operations team in day-to-day activities. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, health science, business, finance, or related field (one year of experience equals one year of education) required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Licensed and registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the State of Nebraska within one year of hire required.
  • Nationally Certified as a Pharmacy Technician within two years of hire required.
  • Minimum of six years' pharmacy experience or relevant healthcare equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years' working directly with pharmacy operations or pharmacy revenue cycle responsibilities required.
  • Proven experience as a project owner required.
  • Knowledge of multiple pharmacy area workflows required.
  • Healthcare experience, preferably in pharmacy operations, pharmacy purchasing, or pharmacy revenue cycle required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, advanced Excel and related databases required.
  • Ability to type 45 WPM with 95% accuracy; strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support and coordinate development, implementation, and evaluation of pharmacy operations in assigned areas.
  • Supervise selection, orientation, training, development, and performance evaluation of staff.
  • Initiate and maintain effective communication to promote positive department relations.
  • Promote continual patient-oriented pharmaceutical care and quality improvement to achieve goals.
  • Contribute to strategies affecting financial performance, including contracting, licensing, purchasing, revenue cycle, analytics, and reporting.
  • Participate in decision-making related to processes for pharmacy areas.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
  • Build relationships across pharmacy, leadership, and organizational partners.
  • Conduct workflow assessments and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize the system and resources.
