Job summary

University Health KC is seeking a Pharmacy Business & Contract Analyst for UH Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. The role focuses on revenue optimization, payer relationships, and contract performance across the health system’s pharmacy services.

The analyst will drive data-informed decision-making, ensure regulatory compliance, and support contract administration within inpatient pharmacy operations. 40-hour work week with standard daytime hours.

Qualifications

• PharmD or licensed pharmacist; MO license required.
• Minimum of 5 years of pharmacy practice experience.
• Experience with payer contracts and reimbursement practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage pharmacy contracting activities in compliance with payer requirements and internal policies.
• Analyze payer performance, reimbursement trends, and contract compliance to identify risks and opportunities.
• Conduct financial audits and business analyses to support revenue integrity and operations.
• Serve as the primary contact for payer inquiries and contract-related issue resolution.
• Maintain provider manuals, payer databases, and contract documentation.
• Develop data analytics and reporting tools for leadership and operations.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance revenue and efficiency.
• Support training related to contracts, reimbursement, and billing practices.
• Ensure HIPAA and regulatory compliance.
