Job summary

Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute is seeking an experienced Contract Analyst to join our Revenue Cycle team. This is a full-time, exempt position, Monday–Friday from 8am-5pm, working under the direction of the Director of Revenue Cycle Management.

The Contract Analyst focuses on contract modeling, reimbursement analysis, and supporting payer contract negotiations while monitoring underpayments and contributing to AR process improvements to optimize revenue.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and/or an Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of hospital billing experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with the ability to analyze data and support revenue cycle processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the RCM Contract Module, including contract modeling and reimbursement analysis.
  • Monitor payer contract performance and monthly variance reports.
  • Identify underpayments, especially Workers' Compensation, and support legal reviews.
  • Prepare monthly financial and operational reports for Rehabilitation services and AR improvements.
  • Assist with denial analysis, old AR resolution, and small-balance account cleanup.

We are physician owned and have been serving the Kansas City area for 25 years.We're seeking an experienced Contract Analyst to join our Revenue Cycle team. This is a full-time, exempt position, Mondays-Fridays from 8am-5pm, working under the direction of the and works under the direction of the Director of Revenue Cycle Management.The Contract Analyst is responsible for monitoring and reporting on key KCOI departments and service lines, including Rehabilitation, Urgent Care, MRI, Inpatient, and Outpatient services. This role serves as the primary resource for contract modeling and reimbursement analysis within the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Contracting Module.
