Brown University Health is seeking a Pharmacy Supply Chain Technician to manage purchasing, distribution, and inventory of medications and supplies. You will initiate purchase orders, process invoices, and ensure accurate records under DSCSA guidelines.

Colleagues collaborate with hospital departments, maintain inventory accuracy, and support vaccine and emergency stock. The role includes training new staff and driving process improvements in a health system environment.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • RI Pharmacy Technician II licensure required.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required.
  • 1–2 years of college preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform medication and supply purchasing to ensure availability and correct inventory value.
  • Prepare medications for distribution in compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with wholesalers and vendors to meet department needs.
  • Process purchase invoices, receipts, and other records per policy.
  • Monitor DSCSA compliance and electronic tracing of products.
  • Reconcile inventory, purchase orders, and supplier credits/rebates.
  • Support training of new staff and participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Maintain organized purchasing and supply chain areas.
