Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in medication preparation, dispensing, and delivery within a teaching hospital setting. You will help review orders, manage ADCs/RFID inventory, and assist with compounding under supervision.

Under supervision you will participate in medication reconciliation, inventory control, and patient care area deliveries, contributing to safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in at least the first year at an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Maintains current unrestricted licensure as a pharmacy intern in Rhode Island.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and EMR applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in formulation and preparation of medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Operate automated dispensing systems and inventory tools (e.g., ADC, RFID).
• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding in accordance with USP/NIO SH guidance.
• Support medication reconciliation and perform routine medication deliveries within the hospital.
• Maintain inventory, prepare emergency kits, and assist in quality and safety initiatives.
