Job summary

Skilled Nursing Pharmacy is seeking a Licensed Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist to support inventory management in a high-volume LTC setting. You will monitor usage, restock, and ensure compliance with DSCSA and HIPAA regulations while coordinating with the purchasing supervisor.

The role requires 1+ year in LTC pharmacy and offers a 24-hour operation environment with competitive benefits and opportunities to contribute to policy adherence and stock accuracy.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist.
• 1+ year of experience in a LTC Pharmacy setting and high volume pharmacy is preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under general direction of the purchasing supervisor, takes responsibility for supporting the pharmacy in its goal of maintaining satisfactory inventory levels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory level based on utilization report and purchase history.
• Minimize Fill on Arrivals (FOA) orders
• Restocking inventory
• Follow predetermined company policies and procedures regarding controlled substances; ensures compliance with state federal and other regulatory agencies' requirements and laws.
• Supports compliance with all appropriate policies procedures safety rules and DEA regulations.
• Follow Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) requirements
• Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
• Manage expired, recalled and returned medications
• Monitor and maintain drug files in computer system
• Responsible for communicating any changes and all issues to department supervisor.
• Support and work closely with the department supervisor
• Other duties as assigned; job duties may vary by location

OTHER DUTIES

• Participate with corporate scheduled physical inventories
• Abide by the company Drug Free Workplace policy. Drug screening is conducted at hire, or may be conducted company-wide, or on request upon reasonable suspicion.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Licensed Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist. 1+year of experience in a LTC Pharmacy setting and high volume pharmacy is preferred.

HOURS

Variable, flexible according to the need of the operation. We are a 24 hour operation.
