Job summary

Polaris Pharmacy Services is seeking a Purchasing Technician in Livermore, CA to manage the direct purchasing of materials required to dispense medications to patients. The role is hands-on and involves daily ordering, invoicing, and maintaining stock levels.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, and pharmacy technician licensure is preferred though not required by state rules. Prior long-term care pharmacy experience is appreciated as is attention to detail and reliability.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications preferred but not required by state regulations and state of practice.
  • Previous pharmacy experience preferred (one or more years of long-term care experience preferred).

Job Summary:

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Order daily medication needs from wholesaler
  • Log and record all invoices and purchasing orders
  • Maintain correct amount of inventory
  • Follow current purchasing policies and procedures
  • Must be hands on individual, this is not a desk job

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

HOLIDAY & PTO POLICY
  • Paid holidays are provided annually, with 6 days offered each year, along with 5 sick days.
  • Employees earn up to 10 PTO days each year, with rollover options and milestone bonuses.
  • Employees have the option to cash out up to 10 PTO hours each quarter for added financial flexibility.

Please note, because we are a pharmacy most of our locations are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and therefore schedules may change as determined by the needs of the business.
