Qualifications

Job Description

Hybrid Pharmacy & Project Manager Role - Manage vendor relationships and serve as a primary point of contact for SHP and pharmacy-related partners. Lead the planning, initiation, and execution of multiple concurrent projects and workstreams in support of organizational goals and strategic priorities.

Required skills:
1. Pharmacy Benefit
  • Develop and manage customized documentation that aligns with organizational objectives, cost-containment strategies, regulatory requirements, and pharmacy benefit goals.
  • Manage vendor relationships and serve as a primary point of contact for SHP and pharmacy-related partners.
  • Monitor vendor performance, contractual compliance, service level agreements (SLAs), and key performance indicators.
Pharmacy Strategy
  • pply knowledge of 340B principles, HRSA regulations, and commercial plan requirements to support benefit strategy decisions.
  • Support the development and implementation of
Pharmacy Analytics & Financial Management
  • nalyze pharmacy utilization trends, medication spend, rebate implications, and overall financial outcomes to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvement.
  • Develop executive-level reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Identify and recommend pharmacy savings opportunities while balancing clinical quality, member experience, and regulatory requirements.
Regulatory Compliance & Operations
  • Ensure pharmacy benefits align with applicable state, federal, and accreditation requirements.
  • Support oversight of 340B program initiatives and compliance activities, where applicable.
  • Coordinate operational activities, stakeholder meetings, and cross-functional communications related to pharmacy initiatives.
  • Maintain documentation of pharmacy programs, vendor activities, contracts, and governance decisions.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
2. Project Management
Project Leadership & Planning
  • Lead the planning, initiation, and execution of multiple concurrent projects and workstreams in support of organizational goals and strategic priorities.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project charters, work plans, governance structures, and communication plans.
  • Establish project governance frameworks and facilitate decision-making processes across stakeholder groups.
Project Execution & Delivery
  • Oversee day-to-day project execution, ensuring milestones are achieved and deliverables are completed on schedule.
  • Coordinate activities across pharmacy, clinical operations, finance, compliance, IT, and external vendor teams.
  • Monitor project performance against established KPIs, timelines, budgets, and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure quality standards and organizational expectations are consistently met throughout all project phases.
Risk & Change Management
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies, and barriers to successful execution.
  • Manage project scope changes and change-control processes through established governance procedures.
  • Escalate critical issues and provide recommendations to leadership for timely resolution.
Communication & Executive Reporting
  • Facilitate regular project status meetings, steering committee reviews, and executive stakeholder updates.
  • Develop and maintain project dashboards, executive reports, performance scorecards, and supporting documentation.
  • Provide executive-level summaries highlighting project progress, risks, financial impacts, and key decisions requiring leadership input.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and organizational change management activities to support successful implementation and adoption.
Desired skills: Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • 10+ years of healthcare project management experience, including at least 5 years leading complex pharmacy-related initiatives or enterprise pharmacy workstreams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Pharmacy Benefit operations, contracting, vendor management, formulary strategy, and pharmacy financial management.
  • Deep understanding of 340B program requirements, specialty pharmacy operations, and applicable pharmacy regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects within complex healthcare organizations.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required.
  • Pharmacy technician certification, pharmacist licensure, or equivalent pharmacy-related credential strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success managing significant cost-savings initiatives and driving operational efficiencies across healthcare organizations.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-million-dollar savings portfolios and strategic transformation efforts.
