Job summary

Marshall Health Network is seeking a Pharmacy Procurement Supervisor to lead medication procurement, inventory management, and purchasing operations across the health system. You will collaborate with pharmacy leadership, buyers, informatics, and finance to standardize purchasing practices, improve inventory, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted WV Pharmacy Technician registration or eligible to obtain.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
• Five years of hospital pharmacy experience.
• Two years of pharmacy purchasing, procurement, inventory management, or pharmacy supply chain experience.
• Experience with pharmacy wholesaler ordering systems, inventory software, and automated distribution technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to pharmacy buyers across MHN facilities.
• Develop standardized purchasing policies, procedures, and workflows.
• Oversee procurement, inventory management, and purchasing initiatives across the health system.
• Monitor spend, contract compliance, inventory performance, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate formulary standardization, substitutions, manufacturer changes, and NDC updates.
• Coordinate annual pharmacy physical inventories across MHN facilities.
• Develop and monitor metrics on purchasing, inventory, savings, waste reduction, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with pharmacy informatics on medication databases and EMR files.
