Presbyterian Healthcare Services seeks a diligent Pharmacy Procurement Agent to purchase pharmaceuticals for the PHS system, ensure contract pricing, and provide monthly financial reports to pharmacy administration.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician license in NM.
• PTCB or NHA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate stock of pharmaceuticals.
• Serve as supplier and purchasing consultant for the pharmacy distribution center.
• Ensure contract compliance and correct pricing for all purchases.
• Provide monthly financial, purchasing, and issues reports to pharmacy administration.
• Interact with pharmaceutical representatives to maintain service levels.
• Research short-supply items and identify alternate sources.
• Communicate stock availability to pharmacy staff.
• Process drug recalls and verify recalled items stocks.
• Adhere to Compliance Plan for Controlled Substances.
• Review wholesaler invoices and coordinate with Accounts Payable.
• Serve as Pyxis subject-matter expert for four ER/UR locations.
• Support medication delivery workflows and stock reviews.
• Manage flu vaccine distribution logistics.
• Conduct complete stock inventories and reports.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure adequate stock of pharmaceuticals.
• Serves as supplier and purchasing consultant for the pharmacy distribution center.
• Ensures contract compliance and correct pricing for all purchases.
• Provide pharmacy administration with monthly financial, purchasing, and issues reports.
• Interacts with pharmaceutical representatives to ensure adequate service levels.
• Research short-supply items, find alternative sources, and obtain emergency pharmaceuticals when required.
• Communicate with pharmacy staff on the availability of pharmaceuticals.
• Processes all drug recalls and checks stock for recalled items.
• Responsible for adherence to the Department Compliance Plan for Controlled Substances.
• Review wholesaler reports for unpaid invoices. Tracks invoices with Accounts Payable.
• Subject matter expert and primary support for Pyxis usage, par levels, drawer configurations, and medication additions or removals for four ER/urgent care locations requiring intermediate to advanced Pyxis knowledge.
• Provide support to staff regarding medication delivery workflows, site medication stock reviews, and related best practices.
• Manage workflow for annual flu vaccine distribution logistics.
• Conducts complete inventories of stock and completes reports.
• Perform other functions as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Pharmacy Tech State of NM
• Certified Pharmacy Technician-PTCB
• OR Certified Pharmacy Technician-NHA
• Three years of experience in pharmacy, preferably in pharmacy purchasing
