Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking a Pharmacy Buyer to ensure safe, cost-effective medication management. This role covers purchasing, inventory control, and collaboration with clinical teams.

You will analyze usage trends, manage vendor relationships, and support the infusion center with workflow and medication queues. Oncology/sterile experience preferred; Maryland tech registration required.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist technician certification preferred.
• Maryland registration required.
• Oncology or sterile compounding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appropriate inventory levels of medications.
• Place and track medication orders with wholesalers, manufacturers, and distributors.
• Monitor backorders, shortages, and communicate updates to leadership.
• Prepare purchase orders and verify invoices for accuracy.
• Run routine and ad-hoc inventory and cost analysis reports.
• Assist with medication preparation during peak workload periods.
