Job summary

Blink Health seeks a Pharmacy Prior Authorization Specialist to join the onsite team in Chesterfield, MO. You will initiate auth requests, select forms, and coordinate with prescribers to ensure accurate information is captured.

You will follow up on statuses, communicate outcomes to patients and providers, and assist with appeals while collaborating with multiple departments to improve patient access to medications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Customer service or inbound call center experience required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Sound technical skills, analytic ability, attention to detail and good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in initiation of new prior authorization requests to providers.
• Identify correct prior authorization form for patient’s insurer.
• Coordinate with prescribers to ensure info is on forms.
• Follow up with medical offices to check status.
• Communicate authorization status to patients and providers.
• Coordinate with offices to handle Appeals.
• Respond to internal questions about prior authorization requests.
