Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support prior authorization processing, review requests, and document decisions with accuracy. You will work with providers, pharmacies, and internal partners in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes multi-tasking, clear written and verbal communication, and adherence to policies. Hours include 5:00am–7:00pm shifts with potential weekends; full-time commitment with 40 hours weekly. Competitive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• National Pharmacy Technician certification and Arizona State Pharmacy Technician license, current and in good standing, are required and must be maintained
• Between 1-5+ years of Pharmacy Prior Authorization processing experience
• Ability to Multi-task and prioritize work
• Ability to adjust based on business or department needs
• Good organization skills

Responsibilities

• Process prior authorization requests received by phone, fax, or electronically and use criteria and guidelines to support reviews
• Proactively complete prior authorization approvals and denials before expiration and maintain complete documentation
• Review potential denial language to ensure NCQA requirements are met
• Follow prior authorization workflow, policies, and procedures
• Communicate prior authorization status or decisions via calls and electronic resources
