Job summary

Highmark Health seeks a Pharmacy Leader to support the Allegheny Health Network by directing pharmacy services and supervising daily operations. The role includes ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and improving clinical and operational performance.

The position requires a PharmD or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy, active PA/NY licensure or eligibility, and relevant pharmacy leadership experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or PharmD required; PA/NY licensure within 120 days of hire.
3 years pharmacy experience required or completion of a 2-year administrative pharmacy residency.

Responsibilities

Supervises day-to-day pharmacy services including drug distribution, education, clinical activities and inventory management.
Coordinates patient care services with nurses and physicians to resolve clinical or drug distribution issues.
Assists with policy development, enforcement and compliance; participates in performance improvement and regulatory activities.
Prepares staff work schedules and staffing adjustments to meet workload demands and provides feedback to staff.
Monitors controlled substances and audits per state and federal regulations; supports budgetary targets and cost effectiveness.
