Job summary

The Touro College of Pharmacy invites applications for 12-month faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in internal medicine, or a variety of specialties such as ambulatory care, oncology, psychiatry, critical care medicine, and other specialties. The position offers a path to develop an innovative clinical practice and to supervise students in clinical experiences.

Applicants should hold a Pharm.D.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. degree required with post-graduate training (PGY-1 and PGY-2 Residency or Fellowship) or equivalent clinical experience.
• Previous academic experience and board certification in an area aligned with training (e.g., BCPS or BCACP) are preferred.
• Must be eligible for licensure in the state of New York.

Responsibilities

• Develop an innovative clinical practice in an in-patient or ambulatory care setting; serve as a preceptor and role model for students on introductory and advanced pharmacy practice experiences.
• Provide didactic classroom teaching and recitation on campus.
• Participate in college service and departmental meetings; perform other faculty duties as appropriate.
• Engage in research activities, produce posters and publications, pursue grants and contracts, and contribute to scholarly work.
• Prepare reports and other documents as requested by Department Chairs, Directors and Deans
