Job summary

Touro University California's College of Pharmacy seeks a faculty member to teach, provide clinical practice, and contribute to scholarship across the pharmD curriculum. The role includes ambulatory and acute care exposure, student precepting, mentoring, and service within the college, university, and profession.

The successful candidate will maintain a clinical practice site aligned with their area of expertise and participate in experiential education and student development activities.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree from an ACPE-accredited institution.
• Completion of a PGY1 residency, fellowship, or equivalent advanced clinical training required.
• California pharmacist licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure

Responsibilities

• Participate in curriculum development, delivery, assessment, and continuous quality improvement activities.
• Teach and assess pharmacy students in didactic, skills-based, laboratory, and experiential curriculum.
• Mentor and advise students, contribute to co-curricular programming, and support student professional development.
• Contribute to student assessment activities, including competency-based and readiness assessments.
• Maintain an active program of scholarship and professional contributions in area of expertise.
• Maintain a clinical practice site and precept students in experiential education settings.
• Precept students for health promotion activities (health fairs, free clinics).
• Serve on department/College/University committees and contribute to program development.
• Attend faculty, department, College, and University meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to recruit and retain students and engage in faculty development.
• Provide required reports and documentation as requested by administrators.

Education

PharmD degree (ACPE-accredited)
