Job summary

The School of Pharmacy at D’Youville University is seeking a faculty member to coordinate and deliver instruction across pharmacotherapeutics and pharmacy practice, with emphasis on internal medicine, acute care, and evidence-based pharmacotherapy in both traditional and online pathways. Qualifications

• Pharm.D. from ACPE-accredited program.
• Completion of ASHP-accredited PGY1 Residency.
• PGY2 residency in Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Infectious Diseases, Cardiology, Emergency Medicine or related specialty preferred.
• Eligibility for pharmacist licensure in New York State.
• Board certification in a relevant area of pharmacy practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver didactic, laboratory, and experiential instruction within the Pharm.D. curriculum, with emphasis on internal medicine, acute care, and evidence based pharmacotherapy.
• Contribute expertise across pharmacotherapeutic content areas appropriate to the faculty member’s training and clinical practice, including infectious diseases, critical care, cardiology, emergency medicine, or other acute-care specialties.
• Develop, assess, and improve course materials in alignment with outcomes and ACPE standards.
• Facilitate active learning, case-based instruction, and innovative educational approaches in face-to-face and online environments.
• Serve as a faculty advisor and mentor to Pharm.D. students.
• Maintain an active clinical practice in internal medicine, acute care, or related specialty.
• Precept and mentor pharmacy students during IPPE and APPE rotations.
• Support development and advancement of clinical pharmacy services at affiliated sites.
