Christus Ochsner Saint Patrick Hospital is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist I for a travel assignment in Lake Charles, LA. This 13-week engagement offers flexible shifts across a busy hospital environment including ICU, cath lab, ED, behavioral health, and orthopedic services.

You will dispense medications, ensure safe therapies, provide drug information, and work with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. BLS is required; ACLS preferred; hospital experience a plus.

Formación

• Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy degree required.
• State pharmacy licensure required.
• BLS certification via AHA required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Hospital experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and dispense drug orders according to established protocols.
• Interpret and transcribe medication orders accurately.
• Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals safely.
• Ensure cost-effective and safe drug therapies for patients.
• Monitor drug therapy regimens for interactions and contraindications.
• Provide timely drug information to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals on quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in clinical consultations and antibiotic/opioid stewardship programs.
• Supervise pharmacy support personnel and ensure competency.
