Job description

Accountable for all aspects of pharmacy practice, within the limits of state and federal laws and corporate policies. Manage and maximize the financial performance of the pharmacy department by monitoring the pharmacy budget, minimizing or avoiding unauthorized overtime, performing necessary staff training and development, providing excellent customer service, managing prescription pricing and generic utilization, controlling pharmacy inventory, and participating in corporate-approved clinical services. Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited U.S. School of Pharmacy.
  • At least 2 years of related retail experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to read and interpret prescriptions and documents.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Valid pharmacy license in good standing.
  • Minimum age of 21.
  • Participation in clinical programs following company training.
  • Willingness to pursue ongoing education as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant Pharmacy Board Certifications.
  • Experience in business management.
  • Perform all staff pharmacist functions and serve as a role model for the pharmacy team.
  • Handle customer complaints appropriately and manage workflow to reduce wait times.
  • Develop and promote sales initiatives.
  • Adhere to all legal and company requirements as a registered pharmacist.
  • Manage pharmacy inventory to meet utilization goals, avoid overstock, and ensure proper record keeping.
  • Ensure compliance with controlled substance procedures.
  • Handle third-party insurance issues and audits promptly.
  • Schedule staff to control labor costs.
  • Maintain all required pharmacy records.
  • Achieve budgeted labor, volume, inventory, and sales goals.
  • Engage in community outreach and public health initiatives.
  • Travel as needed to support business needs.
  • Supervise and coach team members; conduct performance reviews.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
