Job summary

Polaris Pharmacy Services in Tennessee seeks an Order Entry Technician to enter prescriptions and refills into the pharmacy system with speed and accuracy. You will respond to customer inquiries, support improvements, and ensure compliance with safety policies and HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations.
Minimum of one year working as a pharmacy technician (long-term care pharmacy preferred).
Proficient in brand name/generic medications and SIG codes.
Strong data entry, math, and organizational skills.
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Enter new and refill prescriptions into the pharmacy system.
Address and respond to customer inquiries and requests.
Contribute to evaluation and continuous improvement of client services, policies, and procedures.
Comply with government policies on safety, attendance, and dress code.
Follow HIPAA regulations.
Ensure safety policies are adhered to.
Other duties as assigned; may vary by business needs.
