Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Operations Lead to support daily Micro Fulfillment Center (MFC) activities, ensuring timely and compliant prescription fulfillment. You will oversee workflow, provide technical guidance, and support the team to deliver first-in-class service in alignment with federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities include coordinating staffing, supervising on-floor activities, onboarding, coaching, and driving safety, quality, and continuous improvement across operations.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• High school diploma or GED required; PTCB or ExCPT certification required/maintained.
• Basic level PC skills for routine pharmacy and workflow tasks.

Responsibilities

• Owns shift readiness and execution by coordinating staffing, workflow prioritization, and real-time adjustments to ensure safe, accurate, and on-time prescription fulfillment.
• Deploys and guides team members on the floor to meet productivity and service expectations, providing direction and coordination.
• Onboards, trains, and coaches staff to reinforce correct behaviors and standards.
• Champions safety, quality, and compliance by monitoring regulatory adherence and escalating issues appropriately.
• Monitors performance by reviewing productivity and quality metrics and driving continuous improvement.
• Builds strong relationships with internal teams and partners to support operations.
• Performs pharmacy-related duties under supervision of a Group Supervisor or Pharmacist.
• Reports prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adheres to Good Faith Dispensing policies.
• Supports inventory processes including ordering, unpacking, organizing, and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Leads inventory management activities for shipments of pharmaceuticals.
