Job summary

The role requires a PharmD or equivalent MBA/advanced degree, Michigan licensure as a pharmacist with a controlled substances license, and at least three years of progressive pharmacy experience. Day shift, full-time position within a large health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy required; advanced or master's degree preferred (PharmD, MBA).
• Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Michigan with a controlled substance license.
• Three years of experience as a pharmacist with increasing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and serves as a role model and resource person for clinical and staff pharmacists.
• Leads, analyzes, and appraises pharmacy services provided to patients, physicians, and ancillary departments across the system.
• Maintains outstanding skills as a practicing pharmacist or clinical pharmacy practitioner.
• Supervises and coordinates day-to-day activities to assure quality pharmaceutical products and services.
• Ensures patients receive the correct drug therapy at the proper time and that records are maintained.
• Assists in writing, revising, and implementing departmental policies for quality control of medications.

Education

Bachelor's degree in pharmacy
