Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee clinical and operational pharmacy services across three ambulatory oncology infusion centers. This role emphasizes HR management, policy enforcement, regulatory compliance, formulary stewardship, and staff education.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, review medication safety events, advance informatics, and manage inventory while supporting the department and hospital committees.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy resulting in Pharm D. or BS degree.
• Minimum of one year of hospital experience with responsibility for the supervision of pharmacy personnel is desired.
• Completion of an ASHP accredited residency program or equivalent experience is desired.
• Current licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Maryland required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical and operational pharmacy services and staff serving ambulatory oncology infusion centers.
• Coordinate human resources management, policies, and procedures within the department.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, formulary stewardship, and medication safety initiatives.
• Educate pharmacy staff, students, and residents, and collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues.
• Enhance informatics systems and manage inventory and hospital committee engagement.

The Department of Pharmacy, consistent with the mission of Johns Hopkins Medicine, places a priority on teaching, research and patient care. At Johns Hopkins Hospital, the Weinberg Pharmacy is responsible for providing adult oncology acute and ambulatory care services.

Operations Manager is responsible for the oversight of clinical and operational services and staff serving the three ambulatory oncology infusion centers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: human resources management, clinical and operational policies and procedures, federal and state regulatory compliance, formulary and medication stewardship program enforcement, pharmacy staff, pharmacy student, and pharmacy resident education, collaboration with interdisciplinary colleagues, medication safety event review, enhancement of informatics systems, inventory management, and departmental and hospital committee engagement. The Operations Manager will work with the departmental administrative team to assist in the oversight of the overall department's clinical pharmacy services and medication distribution processes.
