PharMerica is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Operations Manager in Vinton, VA to lead its closed-door pharmacy team serving long-term care and senior living clients. The role emphasizes improving workflows, maintaining regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional service in a non-retail setting.

The position requires a high school diploma and at least 5 years of pharmacy experience, with strong attention to detail, teamwork, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmacy operations or similar.
• License/Certification as required by state.
• Pharmacy experience, preferably in long-term care.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Pharmacy Director to improve workflows and productivity.
• Help implement core operational processes and quality programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and Corporate Compliance Program.
• Support staffing, performance, and training needs.
• Coordinate with Client Services and Sales to communicate with facility staff and resolve issues.
• Oversee cost containment and inventory management, including pre-packaging and cycle-fill systems.
• Perform additional duties to support pharmacy operations.
