PharMerica is hiring a full-time Pharmacist In Charge in Vinton, VA, to oversee daily operations in a non-retail, long-term care setting. The role centers on clinical expertise, regulatory compliance, and cost-containment strategies within a healthcare team.

Qualified candidates hold a BPharm with VA licensure; PharmD is a plus. Schedule is Mon-Fri 8:00am-6:00pm with rotating weekends at 9386 Hardy Rd., Vinton, VA 24179.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and active VA license
• Experience in long-term care pharmacy

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and standards
• Supervise and direct pharmacy staff in scheduling, purchasing, and clinical responsibilities
• Collaborate with management to implement efficient daily operations and cost containment strategies
• Provide clinical and technical support to staff and regional teams
• Maintain comprehensive patient records and documentation in the pharmacy system
