The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor leads technician training and workflow, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports dispensing operations across nursing facilities. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in LTC pharmacy setting and leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of drugs and medication terminology; ability to operate a computer.

Responsibilities

• Lead orientation, training, competency assessment, and evaluation of Pharmacy Technicians, with support from Lead Pharmacy Technicians.
• Oversee technician workflow and scheduling, with support from Lead Pharmacy Technicians.
• Provide structure, direction, and feedback to pharmacy technician staff in conjunction with pharmacy leadership.
• Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery, meeting accuracy and productivity standards.
• Prepare medications including emulsions, liquids, powders and ointments, including non-sterile compounding.
• Operate in areas such as narcotics room, automated prepacking, inventory management, data entry, and IV preparation as required.
• Support facility-based dispensing machines and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations; maintain productivity and accuracy.
