Johns Hopkins Medicine is recruiting for a Pharmacy Business Manager to oversee the business operations of the outpatient pharmacy workgroup. Reporting to the Clinical Pharmacy Manager, this role includes supervising Registered Pharmacy Technicians, budget oversight, and initiating performance improvements to enhance patient, family, and staff satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Business, Health Administration, or Health Science and Policy required.
• Pharmacy Technician Registration with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy. Within 6 months of hire
• Three years in a clinic or pharmacy setting, practice management, and/or supervisory experience.
• Pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for business management of the assigned outpatient pharmacy workgroup.
• Manage Registered Pharmacy Technicians, including Clinical Technicians.
• Oversee aspects of the pharmacy budget and performance improvement initiatives focused on patient, family, and employee satisfaction.
• Hire, discipline, and terminate registered Pharmacy Technicians if necessary.
• Support the Clinical Pharmacy Manager in prioritizing work schedules to improve patient care and management of the pharmacy inventory.
