Responsibilities
  1. Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations, administrative activities, and ensure efficient workflow and a positive patient experience. Serve as a full-time certified pharmacy technician.
  2. Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist. Supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers within legal and company guidelines.
  3. Manage pharmacy technician personnel including hiring, scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management. Make decisions regarding discipline and termination.
  4. Customer Experience: Engage customers, resolve complaints, and build relationships to enhance the customer experience and promote healthcare services.
  5. Operations: Assist pharmacists in delivering patient care, manage pharmacy workflow, ensure compliance, and support inventory and administrative tasks.
  6. People & Performance Management: Lead technician performance, ensure licensure compliance, and support team development.
  7. Training & Personal Development: Maintain certifications, seek ongoing education, and pursue professional growth.
  8. Communication: Maintain effective communication with team and participate in store meetings.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico)
  • At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital setting
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Previous leadership experience; familiarity with Walgreens preferred
Additional Information
  • Salary range: $22.50 - $31.00 per hour, dependent on various factors
