Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations, administrative activities, and ensure efficient workflow and a positive patient experience. Serve as a full-time certified pharmacy technician.
- Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist. Supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers within legal and company guidelines.
- Manage pharmacy technician personnel including hiring, scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management. Make decisions regarding discipline and termination.
- Customer Experience: Engage customers, resolve complaints, and build relationships to enhance the customer experience and promote healthcare services.
- Operations: Assist pharmacists in delivering patient care, manage pharmacy workflow, ensure compliance, and support inventory and administrative tasks.
- People & Performance Management: Lead technician performance, ensure licensure compliance, and support team development.
- Training & Personal Development: Maintain certifications, seek ongoing education, and pursue professional growth.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with team and participate in store meetings.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico)
- At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital setting
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Previous leadership experience; familiarity with Walgreens preferred
Additional Information
- Salary range: $22.50 - $31.00 per hour, dependent on various factors
