Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations, administrative activities, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience. Serve as a full-time certified pharmacy technician where allowed by law.
- Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision. Supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers in accordance with policies, laws, and ethics.
- Manage pharmacy technician staffing, training, coaching, performance, and disciplinary actions.
- Engage with customers to provide assistance, resolve complaints, and enhance the customer experience, focusing on healthcare services.
- Assist in delivering patient care services such as registration, prescription entry, medication preparation, and health screenings, under pharmacist supervision.
- Manage pharmacy operations including scheduling, inventory, compliance, and technology rollouts.
- Lead performance management for pharmacy staff, including hiring, training, and ensuring licensure compliance.
- Maintain professional knowledge, certifications, and pursue ongoing development.
- Communicate effectively with team members and participate in store meetings.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- PTCB or ExCPT certification (excluding Puerto Rico)
- At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital setting
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership or people management experience
- Previous Walgreens experience with high performance evaluations
