Job summary

Walgreens in Jackson, NJ is seeking a full-time certified Pharmacy Technician supervised by a pharmacist. You will assist in non-clinical pharmacy operations, register patients, enter prescriptions, prepare medications, and support vaccine and health services offerings.

Responsibilities also include training, scheduling, performance management of technicians, ensuring accurate insurance processing, and contributing to a positive patient experience and efficient pharmacy workflow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations)

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in delivery of patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting and verification where allowed by law.
• Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work in the pharmacy while ensuring on-time task completion.
• Prepare and file reports as directed by Pharmacy Manager and maintain records for government agencies.
