Job summary

Walgreens in New Jersey is seeking a full-time Certified Pharmacy Technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations under pharmacist supervision, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience.

You will lead training, schedule, and performance management for technicians, participate in vaccine administration and health screenings where allowed, and uphold company policies and regulatory compliance to drive quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations).

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including data entry and preparation of medications.
• Handle patient calls and physician calls under pharmacist supervision.
• Administer vaccines and health screenings where allowed by law.
• Delegate non-clinical work and manage pharmacy workflow.
• Prepare and file reports required by company and government.
• Manage inventory and maintain security of pharmacy equipment.
• Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims and resolve issues.
• Support store and pharmacy managers in financial and service goals.
• Coordinate immunization clinics and community events with pharmacists.
