Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, MA, seeks an experienced pharmacy leader to guide patient care operations, teams and programs within the Pharmacy area. The role emphasizes leadership, standardization, and alignment with hospital goals across services and 340B program activities.

The ideal candidate has a PharmD or Master’s degree and holds MA/CT licensure, with a track record of improving safety, procurement and distribution processes in a large healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy; MA/CT Pharmacist license in good standing or ability to obtain within 120 days.
• Leadership experience guiding pharmacy teams in healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and accountability for delegation, choices, decisions & outcomes
• Collaborate with Pharmacy leaders, medical staff, and healthcare team to align strategy and standards
• Identify analytics and metrics to demonstrate performance improvements
• Support medication safety measures and efficient operational processes
• Support training, education, coaching, and assessment of pharmacist competencies
• Support optimization of procurement and distribution processes
• Ensure colleagues are assigned to work areas to meet established standards
