Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead the Pharmacy Department’s daily operations, including distribution, IV processes, and technology systems. The role emphasizes medication safety, policy development, and collaboration with leadership to meet regulatory standards.

The successful candidate will manage staffing, budgets, and performance metrics while guiding clinical services and ensuring high-quality patient care in a large central Massachusetts health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree.
• Massachusetts Pharmacist licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy Department.
• Lead drug distribution, IV room processes and dispensing systems.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (JCAHO, DPH, FDA).
• Develop staffing plans, budgets and performance metrics.
• Coach and evaluate staff and support interviewing for vacancies.
