Job summary

Duke Raleigh Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead the pharmacy operations team, oversee automation, procurement, and prepackaging, and ensure cost effectiveness and compliance within budget targets.

You will collaborate with medical staff and Duke University Health System to implement programs, supervise staff, train residents and technicians, and drive continuous professional growth in a fast-paced health system.

Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy Degree or BS Pharmacy Degree required.
Three years of pharmacy practice experience; managerial/supervisor experience preferred.
Licensed Pharmacist or eligible to practice in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

Lead the pharmacy operations program including automation, procurement and prepackaging.
Support technical operations for automated dispensing machines and pharmacy computer programs.
Coordinate with DUHS Controlled Substances Diversion Prevention team for compliance and drug diversion efforts.
Oversee staff supervision and team leadership, including performance improvement plans.
Serve as a liaison between medical, nursing and pharmacy staff for operational issues.
