Job summary

Walgreens in Los Angeles is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations, process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, and help maintain an efficient workflow and positive patient experience.

You will assist with patient registration, data entry, vaccine administration where allowed, inventory management, training and performance of technicians, and role modeling excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities; ensure efficient workflow and positive patient experience.
• Assist pharmacist in patient care activities including registration, prescription data entry, and medication preparation.
• Under pharmacist supervision, perform calls to patients and physicians; support immunization and health service offerings where allowed by law.
• Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work; ensure on-time completion and accountability for workflow.
• Prepare and file reports required by company and government agencies; maintain records and security safeguards.
• Manage inventory, scheduling, training, and performance management of pharmacy technicians; support policy compliance.
