Job summary

Walgreens in Houston, TX is seeking a full-time Certified Pharmacy Technician to support day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist. Qualifications

• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico)
• At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including registration, data entry, prescription preparation, counting and verification where allowed.
• Manage non-clinical pharmacy operations and support daily workflow to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Handle calls with patients and physicians under supervision of a pharmacist, including vaccine administration and health service offerings where allowed by law.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal regulations; assist with inventory and records management.
• Lead training and performance management of technicians, and support scheduling and onboarding.
