Job summary

Walgreens in the United States is seeking a full-time, certified pharmacy technician to support day-to-day non-clinical operations. Under pharmacist supervision, you will enter prescriptions, assist with patient registrations, and help manage inventory and reporting to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience.

You will participate in training, performance management, and ongoing development while ensuring compliance with company policies, laws, and ethics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations)

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including registration, prescription data entry, preparation and verification of medications.
• Handle patient and physician calls under pharmacist supervision; support vaccine administration and health services where allowed.
• Maintain inventory, ensure compliance with laws, and support store manager with financial & customer service goals.
