Job summary

Walgreens in the United States is seeking a full-time, certified pharmacy technician to support day-to-day non-clinical operations, assist pharmacists in patient care, prescription processing, and workflow optimization.

You will lead training and performance management of the pharmacy technicians, manage scheduling, inventory, and reports, and ensure compliance with laws, policies, and Good Faith Dispensing practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• PTCB certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• Minimum 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in delivering patient care, including patient registration and prescription data entry.
• Develop and maintain efficient pharmacy workflow and accurate recordkeeping.
• Train, coach, and manage pharmacy technicians; oversee scheduling and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, laws and Good Faith Dispensing across dispensing activities.
• Manage inventory, reports, and coordination of immunization clinics and community outreach.
