Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support non-clinical operations and ensure a smooth pharmacy workflow for a positive patient experience.

You will operate pharmacy systems, process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, and lead training and performance management for technicians. Also involved are inventory tasks, scheduling, and compliance with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities; ensure efficient workflow and positive patient experience.
• Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
• Lead training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians; make discipline decisions when needed.
• Assist pharmacist in patient care activities including prescription data entry, preparation of medications, and vaccine administration where allowed by law.
• Manage inventory, records, and reports; ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
