Job summary

Walgreens in the United States is seeking a full-time, certified pharmacy technician to manage day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and supervise technicians. You will ensure efficient workflow, accuracy, and a positive patient experience under the supervision of a pharmacist.

The role includes training and performance management of technicians, participation in patient registrations and prescription processing, and involvement in immunization services and health screenings where allowed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• PTCB certification is required (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting is preferred.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in delivery of patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting, and verification where allowed by law.
• Support pharmacy manager and pharmacist with scheduling, training, and performance management of technicians.
• Lead training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians.
• Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims and resolve customer issues.
• Participate in community outreach and off-site immunization clinics as assigned.
