Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of non-hospital medicine and regulatory programs.
  • Ensure efficient store operations and a positive patient experience.
  • Direct pharmacy staff and billers, ensure compliance with company policies, laws, and regulations.
  • Plan, select, and develop pharmacy staff and lead their training, education, and performance management.
  • Make decisions on performance management, including warnings and terminations.
  • Attract and greet customers, assist with products and services, and handle customer complaints.
  • Model and share best customer service practices, develop strong customer relationships, and anticipate customer needs.
  • Improve customer experience by focusing on healthcare services.
  • Assist the pharmacist in patient care tasks including registration, prescription data entry, medication preparation, counting, and approval.
  • Complete patient and physician calls under pharmacist supervision where permitted by law.
  • Support the pharmacist in providing medical services such as vaccines and examinations.
  • Delegate, direct, and assign non-hospital and pharmacy services in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure timely completion of work and hold others accountable for effective processes.
  • Prepare and compile reports and records required by government agencies.
  • Manage basic clinical processes and promote excellent pharmacy practice.
  • Coordinate day-to-day pharmacy activities and allocate pharmacy hours.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly pharmacy with adequate equipment.
  • Make independent compliance decisions that do not require a pharmacist’s license.
  • Manage preparation of the annual inventory.
  • Lead implementation of new technologies and processes, champion change, and engage the team.
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of pharmacy equipment.
  • Apply safety procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain knowledge of company resource protection procedures.
  • Assist the marketing manager by monitoring changes and reporting any concerns that may compromise pharmacy security.
  • Communicate with the pharmacist in charge of prescriptions and adhere to policies on clinical errors and continuous quality improvement.
  • Facilitate efficient processing of insurance claims, resolve customer issues, and prevent chargebacks.
  • Partner with insurance companies and health care providers; participate in third‑party surveys.
  • Support the store and pharmacy manager in evaluating and improving pharmacy revenue, service quality, and customer service.
  • Coordinate the Community Outreach Portal and assign pharmacists and clinics to events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with sales partners.
  • Perform performance management of technical staff, including training, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and disciplinary actions.
