Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy School required.
• Current Board of Pharmacy license required.
• Progressively responsible experience in pharmacy and computer applications of pharmacy practice required.
• Over one year of related work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the operation of the pharmacy department and ensure accurate prescription filling and courteous, efficient service to all customers.
• Improve pharmacy prescription sales, profit, patient count, and professional image through strong operational leadership.
• Supervise and develop pharmacy staff through proper orientation, training, PTCB certification support, objective setting, and constructive discipline while building morale, motivation, and loyalty.
• Manage all referrals submitted by Hy-Vee retail pharmacy locations and coordinate with retail pharmacists as needed.
• Recruit and hire pharmacy personnel, manage budgeted payroll and scheduling, minimize overtime, and improve labor cost per prescription.
• Recommend and coordinate sales and promotional programs for the pharmacy department.
• Monitor compliance through regular audits and verify that proper records including controlled substance records are maintained and readily available.
