Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and insurance billing.
• Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that comply with state and federal laws including controlled substances.
• An average rating of at least 3.0 on leadership behaviors on last performance review (if available).

Responsibilities

• Engages patients by greeting them and assisting with services to ensure a positive experience.
• Counsels patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and OTC products; refers to provider when needed.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and maintains pharmacy workflow, scheduling, and staff coordination.
• Reviews and dispenses prescribed medications; manages insurance and third-party audits.
• Develops relationships with local medical providers to promote health services and outcomes.
• Maintains pharmacy IT systems, inventory management, and productivity improvements.
• Provides clinical and wellness services such as immunizations, diagnostic testing, and disease state management.
