Job summary

Peachford Hospital seeks a talented Manager for The Apothecary, our outpatient/retail pharmacy, to lead full-service operations and serve as Pharmacist-In-Charge. The role supports daytime hours, 36 hours per week, focusing on integrated care and discharge medication access.

Key responsibilities include overseeing dispensing, inventory control, and pharmacoeconomic efforts, while guiding team performance and patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• State of Georgia licensed pharmacist; PharmD preferred.
• 5–8 years of pharmacy experience with increasing leadership responsibility.
• 2–4 years supervisory/leadership/management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of pharmacy systems.
• Knowledge of benefit plans and systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead outpatient pharmacy services to meet business goals.
• Manage drug utilization, dispensing, administration and patient outcomes for safety.
• Monitor purchasing and inventory management processes.
• Stay updated on developments in pharmacy and healthcare relevant to duties.
• Participate in quality improvement and medication use reviews.
• Supervise pharmacy staff and verify daily technician activities.
• Support pharmacoeconomic efforts and targeted medications.
