Job summary

Universal Health Services' Peachford Hospital in Georgia seeks a Manager for The Apothecary, our outpatient/retail pharmacy, to lead full-service operations as Pharmacist-In-Charge. The position emphasizes patient safety, scheduling, and program growth.

Open daytime hours Monday through Friday for a 36-hour work week. GA pharmacist license required; PharmD preferred. Prior leadership in pharmacy strongly preferred and competitive benefits are offered by UHS and its subsidiaries.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist in Georgia; PharmD preferred.
• Minimum 5–8 years of pharmacy experience with increasing leadership responsibility.
• 2–4 years supervisory/leadership/management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of systems used in Pharmacy.
• Knowledge of benefit plans and systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all outpatient pharmacy service programs and operations.
• Manage drug utilization, dispensing, administration, and patient outcomes.
• Monitor purchasing and inventory management from day to day.
• Stay updated on developments in pharmacy and healthcare related to the role.
• Lead quality improvement and medication use review activities.
• Supervise pharmacy staff and verify orders.
• Support pharmacoeconomic initiatives and analyze targeted medications.
