Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including dispensing, records, compliance, operations, software and insurance billing.
• Experience with prescription dispensing and state/federal controlled substances laws.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions and OTC options.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management.
• Reviews and dispenses prescribed medications in compliance with laws.
• Oversees pharmacy workflow, staff scheduling, roles and shift changes.
• Ensures Good Faith Dispensing in line with control substance laws.
• Collaborates with Store Manager on strategic opportunities and growth.
• Maintains pharmacy IT systems knowledge and supports staff with tech use.
• Ensures insurance claims are processed to minimize rejections.
• Follows up with providers on dosages, refills, interactions and allergies.
• Provides immunizations, diagnostic testing and other wellness services.
• Manages maintenance, cleanliness, equipment and layout changes.
• Prepares records and reports required by laws to run pharmacy operations.
