Job summary

The GIANT Company is seeking a Pharmacy Manager in Downingtown, PA to lead the store’s pharmacy operations, supervise staff, ensure patient safety, and meet regulatory requirements.

You will fill prescriptions accurately, counsel customers, manage inventory, and lead MTM and immunization programs while collaborating with healthcare teams and store leadership.

Qualifications

• Manage day-to-day operations in the pharmacy.
• Provide accurate prescription filling, verification and post-verification.
• Deliver outstanding customer counselling and service.
• Communicate with healthcare teams, patients and insurers.
• Operate pharmacy computer systems, email and fax.
• Answer phones and support front-line teams.
• Oversee inventory management and physical counts.
• Complete paperwork per company policy.
• Supervise pharmacy staff and interns.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory rules.
• Lead MTM, diabetic education, immunizations and clinical programs.
• Perform regular physical inventories and maintain QA processes.

Responsibilities

• Meet with store management regularly to review metrics and set goals.
• Address temperature excursions with a plan for after-hours responses to protect refrigerated medications.
• Seek opportunities for community immunization clinics and pharmacy outreach.
